Tell us about what you do.
I am an Air Force Engineer (Maintenance) who is in charge of maintaining the aircraft systems on board the AH-64.
Why did you choose to join the RSAF?
During my time at ITE, I was fascinated with aerospace engineering. I would look at the aircraft parked in my school and wonder how the systems worked. For me, joining the RSAF was about following my passion and also answering the greater calling of defending Singapore.
What is the greatest challenge that you have faced?
Heavy equipment poses its challenges. It could be a torque where the bolts are too high, or handling heavy components. In such cases, my colleagues are always willing to lend a hand. They will also guide me with the proper techniques to handle such equipment so that I can become self-reliant.
Any advice for aspiring airwomen?
Do not let your doubts stop you from pursuing your passion. At the RSAF, you will learn to overcome all barriers by taking them head on.
