Internship: Group Operations & Technology, IT Project Management Office [May 2024 - August 2024]

Learning Objectives:

  • Exposure to toolsets used (JIRA / Confluence / Clarity / Qlikview / Power BI)

  • Exposure to project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) and related processes (Solutioning / DevOps) 

  • Exposure to performance metric and risk metric analysis for project portfolios. 

  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives to improve project delivery.

Job Description:

  • Analyse project delivery information, trends, anomalies and behaviours for risk and control management reporting. 

  • Perform project portfolio analysis in the forms of comprehensive reports and dashboards for reporting to stakeholders and tracking of relevant performance metrics including project financials and capital expenditures. 

  • Perform comparative analysis to capture trends and behaviours of performance over the years down to project detail level to establish targets to be achieved. 

  • Work with respective project delivery teams to translate analysis requirements into reports and dashboards. 

  • Provide training to end users on new reports and dashboards. 


Job Requirements:

Experience / certifications in the following areas are an added advantage: 

  • Project Management Systems, Tools, and Processes and how these are practically used in PMO or Project Environment. 

  • Business Intelligence and analytics delivery via visualisation toolsets such as QlikView, Tableau, or Power BI. 

  • Data analytics tools such as Python, VBA, R. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Meticulous, analytical and result-oriented, with ability to work under pressure. 

  • Good analytical skills, able to analyse data, identify trends and reporting results. 

  • Skilled at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness. 

  • Energetic, highly organised, assertive with good negotiation and problem-solving skills to deal with situations of differing opinions, and to intervene and escalate when necessary.
