Business Graduate Programme

Programme start date: 5 June 2023

Our Business Graduate Programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets.

To be eligible you must be a final year undergraduate or Masters student and have completed all the requirements of your course before June 2023. You should ideally be on track for a GPA 3.0, 80% or equivalent in any subject area.

During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths by working in the Post Trade division.

What we offer:

  • Launch your career in our Post Trade division, ranging from risk to client facing opportunities
  • Collaborate with global, cross-divisional teams and connect with a global Early Careers community;
  • Develop your financial markets and business knowledge as well as your relationship skills as you move across projects
  • Build your technical skills, and develop self-insight to define your future career ambitions
  • Be supported to gain industry recognised qualifications
  • Access global learning opportunities and experiences and contribute to wider society via CSR and volunteering initiatives

Our graduates join us on a permanent basis, and from day one you will be aligned to a division, which will allow you to develop within a secure framework. During our recruitment process, we will get to know your skills and interest and how they align with the needs of the business, to allow us to place you in the right team.

What we are looking for:

We are passionate about recruiting people who aspire to understand the full breadth of our business, how it fits together, how it functions – and are interested in playing a part of our development, as it grows and diversifies.

To be successful on the programme, you will need to be a highly motivated individual who shares our passion for innovation and growth.

  • You should have a demonstrable genuine interest in financial markets, which you’ve built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
  • A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
  • Individuals who are able to connect the dots and think creatively.
  • The environment we work in is fast paced, you’ll need to demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.

You will stand out to us if you can demonstrate and recognise that what you achieve is equally important to how you achieve it.

Application end date: 20 February 2023

Recruitment Process: We operate a rolling recruitment process with assessment centres starting from March 2023

  • The first stage of the recruitment process involves a review of your CV and motivational statement.
  • Should you pass the initial screening stage, you will be invited to complete an online test to help identify the skills and behaviours you’ll bring to the role. It includes some questions on how you would describe yourself, how you typically approach tasks, and a short cognitive ability test.
  • The next step is a telephone interview where we will test your motivations for the role as well as some of our key competencies.
  • The final stage is an assessment centre which involves a number of different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.

Please note, all our assessment centres will be run virtually this year.
