[Keppel Internship Programme 2023] Intern, IT Audit (May - Aug 2023)

Job Description:

Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent function established by Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk -based and objective assurance, advise and insights by performing regular audits. The IT Audit team plans and executes IT infrastructure, applications, process and governance audits of systems to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, reliability and integrity of the IT systems, compliance of policies, plans, procedures, and regulations and proper safeguarding of assets.

The intern will be responsible in the following:

  • Understand the roles & responsibilities of Internal Audit.

  • Work with the technology internal auditors to understand the business/IT operations & identify analytics and improvement opportunities.

  • Assist the technology internal auditors to perform tasks relating to internal audit/ internal control/risk management, etc.

  • Research and deliver updates on advancing technology hotspots and cybersecurity threats.

  • Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn new technical and functional domains on various technological areas.

  • Gain an understanding of audits of systems and IT processes.

  • Pick up business communication skills while working with auditors and internal/external stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science / information system or professional equivalent from an accredited university, specializations in cyber/info security preferred.

  • Skill in analysing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions will be an advantage.

  • Have an agile, growth-oriented mindset to learn new technical and functional domains on various technological areas.

  • Able to work independently with good work ethics, highly motivated and a team player.

  • Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, integrity & good interpersonal skills, with values aligned to Keppel Group.

  • Able to commit to a 6 months internship.
