Nicole Yiu

Nicole kicked off her JETS experience in 2018 at Jardine Matheson’s Group Treasury. Picking up crucial financial and stakeholder management skills, she transitioned to Hongkong Land’s Development Properties South Asia team.

During her nearly three years there, she’s worked across four departments; Projects, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Business Development. This diverse set of rotations provided her with a deeper understanding of how different functions work within a property developer, from evaluating sites to running feasibility studies to determine the potential returns of particular projects.

In her current role as Business Development and Portfolio Management Manager, she’s focused on evaluating new investment opportunities in South Asia markets. Given the fast-paced environment in real estate and the dynamic deal flow, every day is different for Nicole.

Whether it’s running a cash flow model or putting together a board paper for approval, pitching the team’s recommendations to senior management sees her working closely with different functions.

One highlight of this collaborative spirit was when she worked alongside senior management and Sales and Marketing on a digital project that built customer loyalty and created up-selling opportunities.
