Editorial Writer
As an editorial writer, you will develop and publish in-house content across our various online
and physical media platforms, as well as contribute to our online content marketing efforts.
Job Scope:
- Write and edit articles for online and print publishing platforms
- Proofread and copy-edit articles queued for publishing
- Create new content or repackage existing content for online content marketing
- Contribute to the planning and conception of new online and print content
- Work with designers to edit design layouts for publication
- Manage and optimise online content via our in-house CMS
- Assist in the production of company marketing materials in both print and online mediums
- Conduct research on local employment trends and graduate preferences to fill knowledge gaps
Job Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in media, editing, or publishing is preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in business journalism is a huge plus
- An excellent grasp of the English language (both written and spoken) is a must
- The ability to work well in teams is a must as this role is heavily team-based
- Able to interview or communicate professionally with sources, both over the phone and face-to-face
- Able to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Creative, resourceful, and able to work independently and think critically
- Web-native writers/editors, or writers/editors with working knowledge of online writing best practices are preferred
