Job Description

  • Design, plan, implement and maintain infrastructure systems including Linux and Windows servers (physical and virtual), Microsoft Exchange and storage services (NAS and SAN)
  • Maintain high availability and reliability of the infrastructure systems
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical incidents
  • Perform daily system support tasks and rotational standby duties
  • Devise and perform system backup and recovery strategies
  • Perform system patches and version upgrades
  • Perform system performance analysis and tuning, as well as capacity planning
  • Prepare & perform impact analysis for production environment
  • Maintain system configuration
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures for system administration
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to internal and external support entities
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions based on users' requirements for system-related projects
  • Co-ordinate with internal, external sections, vendors as well as industry peers


  • Degree in Computer Science or any IT-related discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure systems administration and support
  • Proficient in RHEL Linux and Windows Server (2008-2012) operating system support and administration, not limited to the following:
    • Experience in managing Active Directory & Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and basic scripting e.g. Powershell and Shell Script
    • Experience in managing Microsoft Exchange (2010-2012) and File and Print services
    • Familiar with OS hardening, patch (WSUS) and disaster recover management
  • Proficient in virtual infrastructure management such as administration of VMware ESX, VSphere, VCenter and SRM
  • Familiar with NAS and SAN administration such as EMC VNX & Isilon and NetApp technologies
  • Knowledge of anti-virus and backup software such as McAfee anti-virus and Acronis/Veeam is an added advantage
  • Certification in VMware or Storage Administration is an added advantage

  • Good communication skills and able to work independently with minimum supervision
