Please describe the assessment process for applicants to your organisation.

Interested applicants are to submit an online application via the CPF Board career portal (http://www.cpf.gov.sg/careers). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview which will also include a situational writing test.

What are the skill sets you look for in fresh graduate applicants?

We are looking for suitable fresh graduate who possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Individual must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work independently and as a team player.

Please give us an example of a past year's case study/challenge that your organisation has used in your assessment process. 

Candidates are required to complete a written test before they are interviewed. This is to assess candidate’s analytical and thinking abilities while performing under pressure. In some cases a psychometric test is administered to further suss out suitability for certain niche and skilled role.

Does your company have a structured graduate programme? If so, what advice would you give to graduates wanting to make the most of these programmes?

CPF Board offers a myriad of opportunities filled with invigorating challenges. We provide graduates with the perfect podium to positively impact the lives of Singaporeans. These include conceptualising and reviewing CPF policies so that Singaporeans can accumulate adequate CPF savings for their retirement, housing and healthcare needs, management of CPF schemes, building and maintaining IT systems which form the backbone of our operations, and corporate functions. An officer can look forward to seeking a broad career opportunities within the Board across 50 departments in various domains exposure and knowledge.

We have a CPFB Academy to provide quality training to meet the needs of CPFB’s unique business. Since the nature of the CPF business is so unique, the knowledge that we have is equally unique. The CPFB Academy develops, delivers and evaluates our own training curriculum, and the training is delivered by our in-house experts so that they can tailor their training to make sure it is relevant to your day-to-day work.

We have a structured leadership development programme to equip our leaders in leadership and people management skills to better enable them to lead teams effectively. The programmes cover a range of topics such as supervisory management skills, holding difficult conversations, enhancing your self-awareness, developing your staff and enhancing team effectiveness.

How do you identify culture fit during the recruitment process?
