Job Description

The System Analyst solves organisational information problems by analysing and translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing software applications, testing, user training and support.

  • Engage business users to study their work processes, gather business requirements to facilitate project implementations
  • Analyse and translate business requirements into UML (e.g. user case, class diagrams) and other technical specifications
  • Develop, maintain and deliver application solutions to meet business and technical goals
  • Prepare test plans and test cases for end-user testing and system integration testing, and carrying out such activities
  • Conduct user briefings and training; draft and review user guides, FAQs and operations manuals
  • Provide application support and trouble-shooting; identify opportunities and recommend improvements to the system or business process

Requirements

  • A good Bachelor degree in Information System, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years working experience in requirements study, software development, testing and production deployment
  • Familiar with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Candidate with implementation experience of UML, business analysis, software testing (e.g. JUnit, JMeter) and web frameworks (Struts, JSF, Hibernate) will be an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with end-users
