Job Description

As a Naval Warfare System Engineer, you are not only in charge of the advanced naval platforms in the RSN, but also the men and women who power these platforms. As an officer, you’ll serve as a role model to your team of Naval Warfare System Experts, as you lead them in keeping our cutting-edge naval technology in ship shape. As an engineer, you’ll get to work with partners and suppliers to maintain and inovate cutting-edge naval platforms and systems. To help you master our personnel and platforms, you’ll even be given the opportunity to receive professional accreditation, as well as the chance to upgrade yourself all the way to the doctorate level.

If you’re up for the challenge, you may choose to apply your mastery as a Marine Engineer or a Combat Systems Engineer. As a Marine Engineer, you’ll lead teams in maintaining platforms that keep our ships running, such as Marine Systems, Propulsion Systems and Electrical Control Systems. As a Combat Systems Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our ships’ combat systems, such as Radar Systems and Weapons & Weapon Control Systems, are in perfect order.

Requirements

  • Able to secure a place in or already graduated from a recognised university, studying or having studied one of the following relevant engineering disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Electrical & Electronic Engineering
    • Marine Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Mechatronics
    • Naval Architecture
  • Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship
  • Medically fit (PES A and PES B)
  • Normal colour perception
