Team Overview

Due to the upcoming implementation of Aladdin aka Investment Book of Record (IBoR), Schroders have created a new team within the Portfolio Services division, entitled ABoR (Accounting Book of Records) Reconciliations & Controls.

The team will be responsible for assuring the integrity of data held within the firm’s ABoR (Simcorp Dimension).  This will be achieved by performing a number of reconciliation activities to data reported by custodians, counterparties and transfer agents, in addition to data held within the IBoR (Aladdin).

Following the implementation of Aladdin, the ABoR will be the main source of data for transaction reporting to third parties, as well as being the primary data source of valuation and performance reporting for clients and funds.

Overview of role

The primary responsibility for this role will be to monitor the flow of data between Aladdin and Dimension to identify, prioritise and assist in the remediation of alerts relating to errors. This will include:

  • Pro-active monitoring of the Aladdin Data Flow (ADF) Monitor to identify data flow errors
  • Prioritise errors based upon criticality of impacted business processes
  • Liaise with internal business and IT functions to assist in the investigation and remediation of data errors
  • Lead the investigation and remediation of errors relating to ABoR failures
  • Reduce incidents through seeking continuous process improvement opportunities
  • Identify and sponsor change required to drive down support issues
  • Monitor and report on performance against service level agreements.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate management information and key performance indicators.
