Responsibilities:

You will be planning, coordinating, and managing content production for our multimedia range of products and services. This includes web platforms, print magazines, social media, and bespoke media campaigns for clients.

You will be based full-time in our Singapore office, but must be prepared to travel to and from Malaysia if necessary. You will work with a team of writers, designers, and other editors in both our Singapore and Malaysia offices to execute your duties. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for international experience, but still wish to stay close to home.

  • Lead the production process for media projects across both print and online media
  • Prepare editorial guidelines, coordinate content, design, and production; and quality-control content.
  • Compiling content and display advertisements for publication  
  • Writing and proofreading articles for both online and print media platforms
  • Working with writers to produce and edit articles for layout and publication
  • Working with designers to edit design layouts for publication 
  • Assisting in the production of company marketing materials, in both print and online mediums.
  • Managing and optimizing online content via our in-house CMS.
  • Liaising with clients and content partners regarding bespoke media projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of accumulated experience in media, editing, or publishing.
  • Prior experience in business journalism is a huge plus.
  • Degrees in English, Media, Communication, or Business are preferred.
  • An excellent grasp of the English language (both written and spoken) is a must.
  • An eye for good magazine design and web design is a must.
  • The ability to work well in teams is a must. This job is heavily team-based.
  • Able to interview or communicate professionally with sources and clients, both over the phone and face-to-face.
  • Able to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Creative, resourceful, and able to work independently and think critically.
  • Web-native writers/editors, or writers/editors with working knowledge of online writing best practices are preferred.
