Job Description

The Performance and Resource Management Directorate of MOF is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Public Sector Performance and Governance Unit.

You will be part of a team that looks at Whole-of-Government (WOG) performance management and reporting, to drive greater effectiveness and accountability. You may be involved in developing initiatives to support the evaluation of major public sector programmes and how effective they are in achieving their objectives. You may also be involved in studies on the efficiency and effectiveness of existing government organisational structures.

In addition, the unit is also responsible for leading and preparing the biennial Singapore Public Sector Outcomes review, which is a WOG centric publication illustrating the collective efforts of public agencies, and provides transparency and accountability of the Government to the public by taking stock of how Singapore has fared in key areas of national interest. It focuses on WOG outcomes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect the current and emerging policy concerns and issues.


  • A degree in any discipline.
  • Strong critical/evaluative thinking and analytical skills, to adopt and synthesize multiple perspectives on a broad range of issues, deal with uncertainty and frame complex issues in a logical and clear manner.
  • Able to work well in teams and individually. Self-driven and inquisitive, with excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working with different groups of stakeholders such as senior management and external agencies.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • A keen interest in public policy work is essential. Some working experience in the public service will be advantageous.
